You know what might shock you?

Most of us are operating well below our capabilities. That probably sounds harsh, but it’s true.

If we were to think of ourselves as an iceberg with just 10% of our whole selves visible above the surface of the water, we would be operating from and living entirely in that visible 10%.

Our vast untapped potential is just beneath the surface waiting to be discovered.

Most of us simply aren’t aware of the depths of our intuition, wisdom, and overall potential. And without awareness, those things can’t be accessed and realized fully.

And you can imagine the effect this has on one’s ability to lead.

The Problem with Operating at 10% as a Leader

Locked within the hidden 90% of the iceberg is the explanation for why people don’t do what they promised to do, why teams sabotage their own jointly-made decisions, and why organizations perform under par, despite all good efforts. 

Going from 10% to 11%

Fortunately, once we become aware of the situation, we can adopt practices to help us unlock more of our potential and operate from greater depths.

Becoming a mindful, authentic, whole self leader, in essence, is to allow the experience of deeper thinking and reflection to inform choices on how one wants to think, feel, and behave. 

It allows the present moment to be an advisor to our propensity to make decisions based on past or future concerns or goals. It opens up new possibilities and opportunities to innovate and drive change, collaboratively.

The journey of going even 1% deeper into the iceberg within (which may take a lifetime), may yield 100% different results in the things that matter in life, and what a leader can feel proud to drive and manifest.
